Job summary
Applications are invited for a Specialty Doctor within the West Assessment & Treatment Service (ATS), based at Hove Polyclinic.
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled Speciality Doctor to provide medical support to Brighton and HoveWest Assessment and Treatment Service over 10 sessions. The team caseload reflects the full spectrum of mental illness in adult mental health across the city and we subscribe to the core values of collaborative and compassionate treatment using best evidence practice.
Main duties of the job
Within the ATS you will provide initial assessments and reviews, be involved in professional meetings, CPA, and Section 117 reviews as required. There are no mandatory out of hours commitments and you will have the opportunity to attend a regular academic programme. You will receive regular supervision from the Consultant Psychiatrist, and there will be opportunities for training and development.
You will be joining a committed and supportive team and will be a key member of the MDT cluster.

- 4 years at full-time postgraduate training or higher or equivalent experience with at least 2 years in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty
Desirable
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
