Job summary
We are seeking to appoint a Clerical Assistant to become part of the Health Records Department team located at Astra Business Centre. This position sits within the Subject Access Request (SAR) team and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of the service.
The SAR Clerical Assistant position is both demanding and time-sensitive, requiring strict adherence to current legislation governing subject access requests. The successful candidate will need to work in a flexible manner, supporting team objectives and responding to service needs as required.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities will include undertaking allocated administrative tasks, providing straightforward service information to stakeholders, and maintaining effective communication with a variety of agencies and professionals.
The role also involves accurately documenting relevant information and sharing updates with colleagues when necessary. A significant aspect of the post includes reviewing complex health records and carefully redacting third-party information in line with legal and confidentiality requirements.
The post holder must carry out all duties efficiently and safely, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times. A high level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail are essential, along with a commitment to maintaining excellent data quality standards.The successful applicant will be primarily based at Astra Business Centre, Roman Way, Preston, although occasional work at other Trust locations may be required.
