CYPMH Assistant Practitioner

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the CYPMH Service in South Cumbria. To take a role in the delivery of high quality service provision that promotes and improves the well-being of children and young people .Working within a systemic and holistic framework you will support the Multi-Disciplinary Team with therapeutic interventions with children and young people, their families and carers, who present to the service.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a suitably qualified/experienced individual with a genuine interest and desire of working with this client group. You should have good verbal and written communication skills, enjoy working in a busy multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant will be able to co-work effectively with colleagues, manage a small case load with support from the case manager, support groups and work independently.

A means of transport is essential and applicants must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

  • NVQ Level 4 or HND qualification in child/social studies, Health or Education or Social Services or equivalent.
  • Level 3 will be considered if individual has considerable practical experience.

Knowledge
