Fylde Coast Rapid Intervention & Treatment Team (RITT) is an Older Adults Community Mental Health service based at the Lytham Unit, Warton Street, Lytham, FY8 5EE. We are a community based service who visit service users in their own home across the whole of the Fylde Coast.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an energetic, compassionate, caring and flexible individual to join our Rapid Intervention and Treatment Team (RITT) in the role of a Band 3 Health Care Assistant.

We are a 7 day a week service with operating hours from 8am to 8pm, shifts worked at present can be Early (8-4pm) Late (12-8pm) and weekend working. We also offer compressed hours working 4 days per week (8-6pm or 10-8pm).

We have a wealth of disciplines based at RITT, including Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and an Assistant Psychologist and Consultant Psychiatrists. This ensures a holistic way of working and enables us to deliver the highest standard of care to our patients. We have close working links with other health departments, social services and voluntary agencies.

Our service users can present with both functional and organic mental health difficulties which are often combined with complex social care and physical health needs.

Main duties of the job

To assist in the management and care of mental health clients, users and carers open to the RITT

To assist the multi-disciplinary team with the assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation of care where appropriate.

To support team care co-ordinators to deliver care as defined by the clients agreed care plan, and directed by the team.

To maintain confidentiality according to local policies and legal requirements.

To act within and support clients, carers and colleagues through the process and implementation of the Mental Health Act 1983.

To discuss clinical/team issues with both Clinical Supervisor, Line Manager and with Professional Lead in a timely and constructive manner.
