An exciting opportunity has arisen for a speech and language therapy assistant to join the forward thinking and friendly Burnley and Pendle Children's Therapy Team.
We are one of 3 Children's Therapy teams working across the Pennine area in Lancashire and are committed to improving the communication skills of children and young people, while supporting carers and other professionals to increase their ability to understand and support children with communication needs. We work in a variety of locations, including clinics, nurseries and schools.
You must be enthusiastic and motivated and able to manage a diverse caseload of children with speech, language and communication needs.
The successful applicant will be flexible in carrying out a range of duties. Under the supervision of qualified speech and language therapists you will work alongside families and other professionals in delivering therapy programmes to children of a range of ages and with a range of communication needs. You will be expected to work independently and manage your own delegated caseload, seeking support as appropriate. You will also have administrative and organisational tasks to support the team.

You will be well supported by qualified staff and there will be opportunities for continuing development with access to in-service training, regular supervision and peer support.
