We are the local NHS Talking Therapies service offering 1:1 therapy as well as group work and online therapy.We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking and enthusiastic individual with the appropriate training, skills and experience to offer counselling. If you think this is you, do please apply!

Main duties of the job

Our team at Pendle & Ribble Valley NHS Talking Therapies consist of a close team of PWPs, Counsellors and CBT therapists who work collaboratively to deliver the best service and outcomes for clients. We pride ourselves on the work we do.

We are driven to work in integrative ways and have strong links with specialist services, enhancing patient care as we strive to ensure that clients receive the right treatment for their need. We also champion specialist areas, for which we are given protected time in order to develop our knowledge base and build stronger partnerships.

British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy accredited Diploma (or evidence of BACP certificate of proficiency if course was not BACP accredited)
Hold Registered status with BACP
Evidence of working towards British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Accreditation (to be achieved within 12 months of taking up the post).

Knowledge

Essential

Knowledge of NHS structures and policy within a primary care context.
Good record of Continuing Professional Development and willingness to continue this

Experience

Essential

Experience of psychological work with common mental health issue
Experience of short term time-limited work.
Evidence of regular supervised practice.

Skills

Essential

Highly developed interpersonal skills and communication skills both oral and written.
Ability to sustain intense levels of concentration responding and participating as required.
Ability to self-reflect and use clinical supervision appropriately.
