An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic healthcare assistant to work in the Central Lancashire District Nursing Services.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care in a variety of settings, and will be part of an innovative, dynamic district nursing team.

We are looking for experienced healthcare assistants who are patient and family focused, with excellent communication skills and an interest in community district nursing. We require flexible self-motivated individuals, the posts include a full time role covering day shifts over a 7 day period between the hours of 07.45 and 22.00, additionally we have a part-time post for our Out Of Hours Service covering shifts over a 7 day service between the hours of 21.30 and 08.00.

Main duties of the job

To work as part of the Integrated Neighbourhood/ Locality team under the direction of the district nursing team leader and manager, supporting the provision of high quality holistic nursing care to patients, 24 hours a day 7 days a week

The Health Care Assistant will work with and without direct supervision of a registered nurse providing care to patients in their own homes and other community settings, as delegated by the district nursing team leader following appropriate training and supervision to ensure clinical competence and safe effective care

To support other health care professionals in the provision of high quality care in the locality population.
