Job summary
This is a community based role covering the North Lancashire and South Cumbria area.We are seeking applications from confident and enthusiastic professionals who are passionate about working in a perinatal service and have experience or understanding of mental health. Post holders will work with women and their babies providing parent infant interventions with the aim to supporting bond and attachment.
We welcome applications from both male and female applicants and although advantageous, there is no requirement to have previous perinatal experience, as training will be provided. Must have Nursery Nurse/Early Years qualification.

Main duties of the job
Work as a Parent Infant Practioner under the supervision of the Lead Parent Infant Practitioner and wider perinatal team.To work within the multi-disciplinary team meeting the needs of women, infants and their families by undertaking identified interventions and tasks that support and enable family centered care.Have a caring and supportive approach to ensure the optimum health and social wellbeing of each mother and baby and support them to develop and strengthen their bond.Work in clients homes, clinics and children's centres.Work in collaboration with parents and multi-professionals to develop person centred programmes of care.Be alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and act in accordance with local safeguarding policies and procedures.Provide information on signposting to additional services as required.To liaise with other members of the health care team as indicated.To adhere to all Trust policies and procedure.Complete mandatory training within timescales.
