Improving Access to Psychological Therapy provided by Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust has a vacancy for a Band 6 Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (full time permanent post) in the Pennine area of Lancashire and South Cumbria FT. located in the following team:o Hyndburn & Rossendale Talking Therapies
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for qualified and experienced PWPs to join our Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service as Senior PWPs. We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking and enthusiastic individuals with the appropriate skills and experience. The role will involve providing clinical supervision and pastoral support to PWPs, and to contribute to the leadership of PWPs within your team.

Qualifications
Essential
- Completion of a suitable accredited course E.g. PG Cert PWP Training or Graduate Mental Health Worker Qualification with certificate of exemption from the NHS England PWP Competency Scheme
- Registered as PWP by BABCP or BPS (completed or pending)
Knowledge
Essential
- Knowledge of NHS structures and policy within a primary care context
- Knowledge of mental health referral pathways and procedures
- Knowledge of psychotropic medication and mental health diagnosis
Experience
Essential
- Substantial post qualification clinical work in a Talking Therapies setting
- "It is recommended that supervisors have a minimum of two years of qualified experience of the interventions they are supervising. No supervisor in NHS Talking Therapies should have less than 12 months of this qualified experience" (NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression: PWP Supervision Guidance and Best Practice March 2025)
- Experience of working with a diverse client group with a wide range of presenting problems and significant levels of distress

- Evidence of ability to organise own workload
