Main duties of the job

As Shakespeare's Ward Manager, you will lead a dynamic inpatient team, ensuring safe, compassionate, and evidence-based mental health care. Acting as a visible and authoritative presence, you'll inspire excellence, foster collaboration, and champion holistic wellbeing for service users and staff alike.

This pivotal role combines strategic leadership with hands-on clinical oversight, driving quality standards, managing risk, and promoting innovation in care delivery. You'll shape a positive ward culture aligned with Trust values, empower professional development, and maintain robust governance systems. From guiding multidisciplinary teams to influencing service improvements, you'll make a tangible impact on patient experience and staff engagement every day.

Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
