Permanent - Part Time - 22.50 hours per week
We are excited to be recruiting for a part time, qualified and BACP Accredited Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor to work in our supportive team here at West Lancs. You will be part of the Talking Therapies team offering one to one, telephone and online therapy as well as group work; this aspect of the role can be delivered on a Hybrid basis.
The successful candidate will be joining a fantastic team of PWPs, Counsellors and CBT therapists who work collaboratively to deliver the best service and outcomes for clients. Health and wellbeing of staff along with investing in our team is important to us. You will receive regular supervision and will also have the opportunity to attend suitable training events to support your professional development.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.

- A minimum of a Level 4 Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling
- British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited Diploma
- Full Accreditation with the BACP
- A Bachelors degree and/or professional training in a health practitioner field (e.g. nursing, occupational therapy)
Experience

- Experience of delivering an NHSE approved relational therapy (Counselling, IPT, CTfD)within a Talking Therapies service
- Evidence of recent regular supervised practice
- Demonstrable and in depth knowledge of working with a diverse client group with a wide range of presenting problems and significant levels of distress
- Experience of delivering telephone, remote and online therapy

- Extensive experience in and knowledge of Talking Therapies national and local service requirements and an ability to develop the service to reflect the requirements
- Detailed understanding of the key performance indicators in Talking Therapies services and how they relate to clinical practice

- In depth and demonstrable knowledge of the NHS talking therapies model and a willingness to develop the service clinically to meet KPIs.
