Job summary
Applications are invited for a Band 3 Administrator to provide a comprehensive secretarial administration and information service across the Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team and coordinate their activities with other members of the administration team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided.
The post holder will be aligned to the Specialist Perinatal Community Mental Health Team (SPCMHT), covering the North Lancs & South Cumbria locality based at East Barn in Lancaster, but is required to provide ad hoc remote cross cover to other administrative teams within the service as directed by their Administration Line Manager to ensure continuity of service provision.
Evidence of good general education is essential together with good communication skills and excellent organisation ability. Knowledge of working with the NHS will be an advantage and computer skills with essential.
The successful candidate with require a mature, flexible approach and the ability to work within a busy team. They will be expected to use their own initiative and work unsupervised to ensure the effective coordination of duties.
Main duties of the job
You must be able to provide efficient administrative support and have excellent IT, keyboard and data inputting skills. You will also require strong interpersonal skills, be able to demonstrate initiative and the ability to organise your workload effectively.
The work is varied, interesting and demanding and candidates need to be organised, flexible and dependable. We are looking for people who possess the ability to meet the demands of the service and also to be able to communicate with a wide range of people, including patients and health care professionals.
