Job summary
Applications are invited for an Administrator to provide a comprehensive service to the NHS Talking Therapy teams at various locations across Lancashire. The post holder will coordinate their activities with other members of the administration team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided.
The post holder will be office based and work at Pendle House Nelson with the potential to have to travel to other NHS Talking Therapy bases and required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the networks administrative service, providing cover to departments on various sites as directed by their Administration Line Manager to ensure continuity of a quality service provision.
Evidence of relevant previous experience, a good general education and excellent communication and organisation skills are essential. Knowledge of working within the NHS will be an advantage and computer skills will be essential.
The successful applicant will require a flexible approach and the ability to work within a busy team. They will also be expected to use their own initiative and work unsupervised to ensure the effective coordination of duties.

Main duties of the job
- To be the first point of contact for the unit/department providing a comprehensive customer service and enquiry provision to internal and external customers of the Trust.
- Receive allocate and despatch internal /external mail in line with the Trust policy.
- Provide a comprehensive administrative service which may cover compilation of reports and other correspondence on behalf of the manager and other members of the team, ensuring a high standard in accordance with Trust standards.
- Work collaboratively with the appropriate management teams and other departments including clinicians to ensure that the appropriate leads are notified in the case of matters of urgency and dealt with in a timely manner.
- Maintain and manage a brought forward planning system to ensure that deadlines are met by other team members and colleagues.
- Attend and participate in team meetings and administrative service meetings as required as part of the smooth running of an integrated service and team based administrative approach.
