Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a keen and enthusiastic band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join the Pathways Enhanced Resettlement Service (PERS). PERS forms part of the Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway and is based at HMP Kirkham in Lancashire.

Offender Personality Disorder Services (OPDS) are part of Forensic Community Services within the Specialist Services Network in Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT). OPDS are delivered in partnership with His Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) and provide support to prison and probation teams.

The post of Assistant Psychologist sits within a wider multi-disciplinary team that includes the PERS Clinical Lead and prison colleagues.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support all aspects of the service delivery, in particular supporting the delivery of the clinical model, engaging in supervision, supporting the delivery of structured sessions/group work and collecting and inputting data as required. The post holder will also be involved in screening referrals for suitability and assisting with co-ordination and completion of assessment work.
