Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to recruit an experienced clinical pharmacist, with previous experience in mental health and previous management/leadership or mentorship experience or qualities.
The role requires the successful applicant to provide clinical support and cover dependent on the needs of the service, as well as management and mentorship of pharmacists within the team. How this is divided is subject to negotiation and any additional mileage incurred outside of the usual home-base commute will be remunerated accordingly. Flexible working and potential for hybrid roles will also be considered. This is a wonderful opportunity to be able to work both clinically and operationally and offers a chance for development opportunities in the future.
You will work closely with the Network Pharmacy Director in addressing the care needs of patients and service users as well as looking at opportunities for further improvement, service development and . You will also ensure safe and effective medicines management processes within the service. This will include compliance with regulatory medicines management standards and implementation of medicines safety alerts. As a senior member of the pharmacy team, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to broader Trust initiatives and priorities.
Main duties of the job
The role demands an organised, flexible individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work on their own initiative as well as provide strong leadership and mentorship. There is no current requirement to work on-call, Bank Holidays or weekends. Due to the location of various units, an ability and willingness to travel around Trust locations is required and in turn there is opportunity to consider a base within the Bay locality that is suitable to the successful candidate.
The Clinical Pharmacy service is highly regarded within the organisation and should you wish to join our team you will become one of a large team of Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Medicines Management Nurses and Pharmacy Assistants working across the Trust with a highly supportive and experienced senior leadership team.
