Primary Care Mental Health Practitioner (ARRS)

Job summary

Carnforth and Milnthorpe Primary Care Network (PCN) is excited to announce an opportunity for Two Part Time Mental Health Practitioners to join our dedicated and dynamic team. Located on the picturesque border of North Lancashire and South Cumbria, our PCN consists of two practices, Ash Trees Surgery and Park View Surgery, where we prioritize exceptional patient care and collaborative teamwork.

As part of our services across Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS), we are excited to be able to implement Mental Health Practitioner roles across the Primary Care Networks to support GPs with 'on the day' Mental Health assessment and support for patients.

These are roles designated under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme for Primary Care (ARRS). The roles will provide an opportunity for better joint working across primary care and adult secondary care mental health systems and will make it easier for patients to obtain the help they need.

About us

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
