Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced practitioner to apply for the role of Team Leader of an Adult Community Mental health Team in East Lancashire.

The team provides community mental health assessment, treatment and support to a defined geographical area covering specifically the Hyndburn and Rossendale area.

We are seeking a registered professional with expert clinical knowledge and experience of working within a Community Mental Health team (CMHT).

Candidates will have evidence of leadership skills and extensive professional development relevant to the post.

Main duties of the job

To provide clinical leadership and first line management for a community-based mental health teamin a designated geographical locality within Lancashire Care Foundation Trust.

The post holder will work with senior clinicians and have responsibility for the delivery of high qualityand high performing team to a defined population.

To ensure that staff in the team have opportunities for continuing professional development, in orderto provide best practice and meet the requirements of registering bodies, and to drive improvementsin standards of clinical practice and patient care in line with the NHS modernisation and PublicHealth agendas.

To provide direct clinical care to patients.

To work with senior clinicians to actively lead in the delivery of the clinical governance, qualityimprovement and performance management agenda within an identified locality team.
