Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified physiotherapist to join our Children's Therapy Service working in our Chorley South Ribble Team. We are looking for enthusiastic and forward thinking Physiotherapists looking for their next challenge. This post is suitable for somebody already working as a Band 6 in paediatrics or an experienced Band 5 physiotherapists who has a real desire to learn, transfer and develop their skills in Children's Therapy.
The Children's Therapy Service is a community service that is commissioned for ages 0-19. We provide opportunities to develop skills and experience in four specialist pathways in MSK, Early Years, Coordination Difficulties and Long Term Conditions, all of which are driven by strong clinical leadership. We operate across a variety of community settings including special and mainstream schools, clinics, and within a home setting.
Main duties of the job
Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is an exciting place to work as a Physiotherapist. We have sound professional structures to lead and inspire our Physiotherapy workforce. The Trust is currently organised into clinical networks that provide Physiotherapy input in mental health settings, community physical rehabilitation, chronic pain management (including CFS/ME) services and services for children and young people.
We are dedicated to developing our workforce within LSCFT. You will be supported in gaining skills in advanced clinical reasoning and problem solving as well as skills in complex assessment and intervention. As required, band 6 competencies are expected to be reached within 12-18 months of appointment following a successful review. Training will also be provided to support the further development of the right candidate.

Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
