Job summary

Do you have excellent administration and communication skills? Are you approachable and a team player? Do you have experience of Microsoft Office packages? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join ouradministration team for a permanent position.

The post holder will have a minimum of 1 year's administration and clerical experience, excellent communication skills and experience of working with the public preferably in a health care or clerical setting. Qualifications should include Business Administration level 2 or equivalent in Word Processing, knowledge of Microsoft packages, good diary and time management skills along with organisational and prioritisation of workload.

The post holder will be based at Darwen Children's Centre. The post holder will be aligned to the Little Harwood admin team but will support across all four 0-19 Universal Admin Teams providing cover for planned and unplanned leave in response to the needs of the service. Therefore, flexibility to cover at other sites is a prerequisite.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve undertaking a wide range of administrative duties and supporting the clinical teams, ensuring an efficient and confidential service is provided.

The post holder will have a good standard of education with qualifications in English, Math's and Word Processing, excellent computer skills are required, and previous administration experience is essential. The postholder will also provide a telephone service therefore experience of communicating and dealing with people is essential, as are excellent interpersonal and customer care skills. The post holder will be required to work both as part of a team and on their own initiative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to process routine correspondence as well as excellent data input skills.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive administration and information service across the Children and Families/Young Peoples Network, coordinating their activities with other members of the Business Administration Team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided.

The post holder will be aligned to a specific team and is required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the Networks administrative service providing cover to departments on various sites as directed by their administration line manager to ensure continuity of a quality service provision.
