Job summary

Applications are invited from suitably qualified people with the experience, skills and competencies to undertake the duties and responsibilities of the above post in the Mental Health Network. The post is based within Adult Mental Health services within the Home Treatment Team in Bickerstaffe House, Ormskirk.

The service offers a multidisciplinary approach to provide assessment, risk assessment and a range of interventions to meet the needs of people with complex mental health issues who require an alternative to Inpatient Admission.

Main duties of the job

This post provides the opportunity for a forward thinking individual to develop and implement safe, sound and supportive services that embrace the provision of holistic care. With a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary working and the principles laid out in the Recovery Model, you will need to be able to form effective relationships.You will also need to have knowledge of the care programme approach, risk assessment and management, and the ability to explore issues relating to the impact of acute health and complex social needs on mental health and well-being.

  • Higher education studies certificate.
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent experience.
  • Certificate in Mental Health.
  • ECDL or equivalent.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge on mental health issues and how these impact on the individual, carer's and the wider community.
  • Awareness of evidence based practice.
  • Ability to influence and inspire innovative and effective practice in others.
  • Ability to work in line with developed specialist rehabilitation plans in keeping with the rehabilitation model.
