Job summary
We are looking for an experienced communications and marketing professional, who is motivated by the importance of creating, maintaining, and protecting an organisation's reputation, while presenting a favourable brand identity and enhancing activity to the department. The post holder will be working alongside a range of communications functions, including working with the trust communications department and Digital team. The post holder will support internal communications within the department including administrative tasks and focus on the development and implementation of a communications strategy both internally and externally.
As one of the core team members you will enjoy working in a busy environment and support research activity across the Trust, particularly in the area of mental health, physical health, Learning disabilities, autism and dementia. The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with the Research management team, the wider research team, Network and Trust colleagues in order to support the active research portfolio at the Trust and ensure all studies across the organisation, within the NIHR portfolio, are undertaken to the highest standards within timelines and meeting recruitment targets.
Main duties of the job
The main purpose of this post is to provide administrative, communications and reporting support for the effective delivery of research across the Trust We are looking for an experienced communications and marketing professional, who is motivated by the importance of creating, maintaining, and protecting an organisation's reputation, while presenting a favourable brand identity and enhancing activity to the department.
The role of Research Information Officer will be based in the core team within the Research and Development department. The post holder will be working alongside a range of communications functions, including working with the trust communications department and Digital team. The post holder will support internal communications within the department including administrative tasks and focus on the development and implementation of a communications strategy both internally and externally. Responsibilities include; showcasing research activity, driving engagement, support and investment from key audiences and timely distribution of research news and updates. You will be responsible for developing a content platform to host research communications to enable effective distribution and work collaboratively with the Trust Communications department to leverage research news to shape and influence public discourse.
