Job summary
As we continue to progress with smartcard enabled systems across the Trust we have a fixed term or secondment opportunity which has arisen for an Advanced RA Agent until 31st October 2025 to continue with the day to day Registration Authority duties and support us in delivering a comprehensive and project responsive service to the Trust and external, third party system user populations.
The role requires excellent attention to detail, good communication skills, a strong focus on customer service, the ability to use your initiative, manage your own workload and work under pressure. You will have the ability to work with, and contribute to the improvement of existing Registration Authority processes and systems.
You will have excellent keyboard and IT skills, together with experience of effective use of Excel and Word. The ability to travel between trust sites and across the region may be required for this role.

Main duties of the job
To be responsible for delivery of a customer focused, time sensitive and comprehensive RA service by working collaboratively with colleagues in Human Resources and Digital Directorate.
To adhere to the corporate level governance model for RA, and ensure all users and organisations comply with the principles set out in the NHS Care Record Guarantee.
To adhere to the National RA Policy & Procedures.
To deliver the RA service and meet specified targets in the areas of operational RA activities in all areas of service provision.
Confirm and verify applicant's identity through careful examination of relevant identification documents and handle queries about verification of applicant's identity. This requires tact and diplomacy, as the information required is sometimes perceived as sensitive by applicants and sponsors.
Undertake internal RA audits as required by the RA Manager.
To be specialists on all matters relating to RA, including assisting on the RA work streams of projects where smartcard access is required.
To assist with the completion of all annual mandatory requirements pertaining to RA such as the DSP Toolkit.
Using appropriate governance, & processes provide access and guidance for any other systems (Smartcard or otherwise) that the RA service is required to administer.
