Job summary
You will be working primarily within the Network and Telecoms Team directly involved in providing quality support and development of the Trust's IT infrastructure, with particular emphasis on telephony and mobile devices. From time to time, you will work within the Infrastructure Team, and so this is an exciting opportunity to gain broad experience across all IT infrastructure.
It is a varied role which will become pivotal in the support and maintenance of a secure environment from which excellent patient care is driven. You will be supported with expanding your knowledge and experience.
You will need to be able to communicate clearly and translate technical jargon into plain English for non technical users and colleagues to understand.
To fulfil this role you need to be able and willing to keep up to date with current technical understanding and developments. Follow best practise and understand the importance and impact of any changes you make.
Main duties of the job
To provide IT support and innovation to meet all immediate needs of LSCFT. Act as part of IT Services, resolving escalated incidents, across multiple platforms often interfacing directly with 3rd party vendors and key stakeholders to ensure the full operability of systems and services used by staff.
Configuration and maintenance of telephony equipment and mobile devices, plus network equipment, virtualised and hosted systems.
Assist with the delivery of IT projects. Ensuring good governance and that ITIL based practices are adhered to throughout, ensuring documentation is produced to support the Trust's auditing and Information Governance compliance requirements.
Provide tactical solutions flexibly and cohesively adapting to the changing needs of the Trust providing innovative and dynamic solutions to meet emerging needs.
We are looking for someone who has previous ICT first and second-line support experience and can prioritise their own workload working in a high volume, pressurised environment
