Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 permanent Community Matron posts in The Bay; one post will focus on the community pathways (Older Adults and Adults Mental Health) and the second will focus on the urgent care pathway (HTT, MHLT, IRS).
You will have a sound clinical knowledge and excellent leadership skills. You will be required to lead on aspects of clinical pathway development, embed learning from serious incidents and complaints, support compliance with CQC agenda, develop and deliver a clinical supervision strategy and offer training as needed. You will have worked in a leadership position. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a dynamic approach to problem solving, be able to form key relationships with partners within the trust and outside of the trust whilst adopting a can do attitude. You will work closely with Service Managers and ensure there is a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will also provide leadership by example, being visible within teams and receiving feedback on standards from staff, visitors and patients.
You should be a Registered Mental Health Nurse and be familiar with mental health community and inpatient services and teams.
You will have a choice of base - Kendal, Lancaster or Barrow-in-Furness. This is a community role and you will be required to travel between various clinics across the The Bay and within the wider LSCFT footprint on a regular basis. Due to the distances involved you will require access to a car in order to meet the travel requirements of the role.
Working hours are Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00 although some flexibility in regard to start and finish times may be required. You may be required to join the Trusts Duty Matron on call rota, which would include weekends and nights.
