Job summary

Specialty Doctor, General Adult Psychiatry - Preston START (10PA)

We are looking to recruit a Specialty Doctor to work with the General Adult Specialist Triage, Assessment, Referral and Treatment Team based at West Strand House, Preston. This is a full time (10PA) permanent position.

Main duties of the job

The main clinical duties of this post are arranged around conducting assessments and clinics for new patients and follow up reviews. The postholder would also be encouraged to become actively involved in the strategic development of the team and broader services.

Your Job Plan would comprise 8.5 PA for Direct Clinical Care with 1.5 SPA. Participation on the 2nd On Call rota would be renumerated with an additional payment.

About us

Potential applicants must possess at least 3 years' experience in psychiatry and be fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice. Ideally, you will be Section 12 Approved, or eligible for approval at the time of commencing employment.

Remuneration will be as set out in the terms of the New Specialty Doctor Contract according to previous experience, based on Ten Programmed Activities (PAs) per week.
