Due to additional funding within the team an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist to be part of the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team (CNRT) in Central Lancashire. We are a large, friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team consisting of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, neuro psychology and rehabilitation assistants. We provide high quality, patient centred rehabilitation to individuals with predominantly stroke and ABI diagnosis living within the Chorley, South Ribble and Greater Preston locality.
With 3 dynamic clinical lead therapists, we are proactive, open to new ideas and innovative in neuro rehabilitation practice. We utilise treatment options such as Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) and Saeboflex within therapy to optimise patient outcomes. The team is actively involved with the Lancashire & South Cumbria Integrated Stroke and Neuro Rehabilitation Delivery Network, contributing towards regional service development projects. As part of this regional development we are currently working towards the implementation of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Stroke Service Specification.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an individual with recent experience of working within the NHS and within the clinical field of Stroke and/or Brain Injury. You will be responsible for the assessment, treatment planning and management of rehabilitation programmes for a wide variety of clinical presentations, working jointly alongside other disciplines. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.
We understand the importance of development and wellbeing and so regular supervision by a highly experienced therapist will be provided to support your progress. We thoroughly encourage attendance at courses to widen personal knowledge base, and bring new skills to the team, in order to keep our approach fresh and current.
