Job summary
We are looking for 2 enthusiastic, well-organised, clinically experienced, skilled, reliable and friendly people who will be responsible for providing Medical Education Facilitation roles to the Undergraduate Medical Education department within LSCFT.
One role is working at/and will be based in Guild Lodge Forensic Services. You must have a flexible approach to working.
The other role is based in Blackpool and Fylde location. The geographical base for the clinical work is negotiable, but the post holder must work within the Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre LSCFT mental health services.

For both roles we are looking for experienced clinical staff (non-medical - but open to all other mental health disciplines), who are interested in education and professional development - and looking for an exciting and rewarding new career option.
Main duties of the job
- To provide as required, timely reports to the Trust, University and relevant Deanery regarding issues to do with training and education in LSCFT.
- To establish effective working relationships with consultant medical staff and other clinicians involved in medical education and training.
- Commitment to continuing professional development of self and of the healthcare professionals.
- To provide an overview annually to the employing Trust of the development of this post as requested
- Direct involvement with Trust staff and learners regarding assurance of quality within the placements. This can be both formally and informally with follow up of issues arising
- Actual involvement in development of policies to safeguard students, staff and users
- To establish effective working pastoral relationships with students/ trainees. This will also enable the postholder to identify and support, with the assistance of educational supervisors / college tutor, those in difficulty.
- Map students / trainee curricular outcomes against clinical placements
- To ensure that all statistical returns and expense sheets are submitted promptly
