Job summary
We currently have a vacancy within the LSCFT Safeguarding Team for a Safeguarding Practitioner to support the Trust's commitment to safeguard and protect vulnerable Adults, Children and Families.
Safeguarding is integral to governance arrangements within LSCFT and we are looking for someone with leadership experience and of providing high standards of care to the most vulnerable children and adults in our society. The successful applicant must demonstrate a passion for safeguarding children, adults and their families and share the teams commitment to deliver services that are reliable, of high quality and safe in an area of work that is demanding, challenging yet extremely rewarding
We have an opportunity for a full-time Safeguarding Practitioner in the Pennine locality to assist the Specialist Safeguarding Practitioners and Named Nurses within the LSCFT Safeguarding Team to provide clinical expertise in the delivery of the safeguarding agenda to all LSCFT staff.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit a registered nurse to this post, as part of the role, the practitioner will rotate into the LCC MASH / CADS health practitioner role to contribute to multi agency decision making.
Applicants should have experience of working with situations that may present challenges for services and staff and have an understanding of the national and local issues involved in safeguarding vulnerable adults and children. A proven ability to engage in effective multi-disciplinary teamwork is required as is some experience of working with multi-agency partners.
A comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding children, young people and adults is essential although support and opportunities for professional development will be available through the wider safeguarding team's skill mix.
