Job summary
Mersey Care have recently received Mental Health Incubator status to support our ambition of being a national 'hub' in the design and production of digital tools to support Mental Health care provision. This sits in the context of the NHS England led Federated Data Platform Programme.
A Mental Health Incubator Programme has been established and we are recruiting a Business Change Manager to play a key role within the programme. The successful candidate will offer project support across the programme and will take a lead role with clinical and operational engagement for the projects.
Fantastic relationship skills are crucial to this role, along with an ability to be organised, work autonomously, adopt a project management approach, and be comfortable working with ambiguity. Experience working in the NHS, directly with clinicians, is crucial.

- Lead the Trust in the management of business, process, role and people change, benefits delivery and training; surrounding the implementation of major projects and programmes associated with the Mental Health Incubator Programme.
- Ensure alignment of activity with organisational strategic objectives and direction and defining change management strategy.
- Act as a point of reference of best practice, in all matters related to the management of change.
- Ensure that predefined standard frameworks are employed across the Trust for business, process and people change.
- Resolve problems that arise during projects and report any problems that can not be resolved to the relevant project board or other group.
- Ensure that each project is subject to robust financial management; ensuring that the project is delivered on budget.
- Assure the delivery of new capability and benefits.
- Analyse processes, roles, measures and activity prior to major change being introduced. Recommend and gain agreement to the changes that need to occur to those processes, roles, measures and activity and establish baselines for changes introduced through the implementation; support the Trust with training and advice on associated working procedures.
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure that there is clear understanding of the problems and commitment to the proposed solutions.
- Involve operational managers to ensure that analysis and implementation stages of projects are fully supported by operational staff.
- Map activity and identify gaps between current and future state business processes.
- Ensure that appropriate project management principles are followed within the projects and to promote these principles as appropriate.
