Job summary
The NHS Long Term Plan sets an ambition for all appropriate specialised mental health services and learning disability and autism services to be managed through Provider Collaboratives, with Lead Providers taking on a commissioning role. This requires a shift in processes, behaviours and culture with PCs undertaking the operational commissioning tasks with a strong clinical and user experience focus.
To support this shift in commissioning arrangements, the PROSPECT Lead Provider Collaborative commissioning team is seeking an individual who will lead our engagement with service users to ensure that their views and experiences are listened to and feed into the team's wider work and decision making.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will identify opportunities to enable service users, carers and members to be listened to and responded to as well as developing partnerships to plan, review and design service changes and improvements. This will include supporting the work around reducing health inequalities and inclusion of harder to reach groups of people for Cheshire and Merseyside patients, as well as leading on regional workstreams.
The role will also lead and build on the innovative approach to engaging, supporting and developing patients/service users and carer active involvement with the development of secure services. Thisincludes further development of Lived Experience roles and Experts by Experience engagement. The post holder will work closely with external stakeholders to develop PROSPECT's Engagement Strategy.
