Job summary
The Medical Workforce Manager is a key member of the Centre for Perfect Care Senior Management Team. The post holder will provide leadership and expertise in all matters pertaining to the Medical Staffing and Medical Education to ensure progressive and strategic medical HR and medical education practices are in place to provide the very best support to the Medical Workforce and medical students.
Main duties of the job
Have overall oversight of the Chief Medical Officer's portfolio with regards medical education/medical staffing including strategic and operational HR advice ensuring the delivery of a service which provides assurances for the medical workforce and medical students.Work autonomously leading excellent service provision for medical staffing and medical education, including ensuring contract implementation and people plan strategy for medical workforce and medical students.Be responsible for setting direction for both own work and that of the departments and ensuring that work streams deliver against national, regional and Trust directives.
Provide specialist knowledge and expertise on the National Medical Terms and Conditions, Junior Doctor Contract, Consultant contract, SAS Doctor Contract, policy development for recruitment and retention, job planning, appraisals, revalidation, rota design, medical workforce transformation and workforce planning.Take a strategic lead on the interpretation and local application of national policy/legislation, developing and implementing appropriate Trust policies, systems, and processes as they apply to the medical workforce and medical students.Provide specialist knowledge and expertise on postgraduate and undergraduate education on HEE education contracts and tariffs and policy development for medical student placements.Use strategic analytical skills to manipulate and interpret data received from both internal and external sources.
