Job summary
This in an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist or experienced Psychotherapist to work as part of the Cheshire and Merseyside Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service, within the Mid-Mersey team, in Warrington, Halton, St-Helens and Knowsley.
We are looking for ambitious and values-driven psychotherapists / clinical psychologists to join as our service expands and work collaboratively to deliver the ambitions of the NHS long term plan.
We welcome applications from experienced clinicians with a strong interest in working in the field of perinatal and parent-infant mental health.
Applicants must have either doctoral training in clinical psychology, training in psychodynamic/ psychoanalytical psychotherapy, or a core profession in addition to practitioner level training in two or more psychological therapies (e.g. CBT, CAT, EMDR etc).
We offer excellent training and supervision programme, and have a strong focus on research, coproduction and inequalities throughout the service.
The postholder will have a robust understanding of the impact of social inequalities on maternal mental health and are passionate about improving outcomes around health inequality for mothers, babies, families and communities.
The successful candidate will have experience of working collaboratively with families and will have great relationship skills and energy for driving change programmes. The post is advertised as part time, but there may be potential for increased hours.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will work within our Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service [Liverpool or Warrington base] providing appropriate psychological assessment and therapy for service users across the footprint.
They will work as an integral part of the clinical MDT to deliver high quality psychological therapies within the specialised area of perinatal mental health.
