Job summary

Mersey Care's Urgent care First Response Service are looking to take on motivated and enthusiastic individual's to join its MDT team.

The post is ideal for somebody with a particular interest with urgent care . Prior knowledge and experience not essential, so applicants welcome at band 5 or 6, but all candidates should be able to work non-defensively through emotionally challenging situations, and openly reflect on their work and and working relationships within the team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will demonstrate an attitude which respects and values service users' choice and works alongside them and their carers to ensure they are at the centre of care planning.

The post holder will be expected to participate in a 24hr roster system 7 Days a week, on a rotational basis as and when the service demands.

The core roles include; face to face assessment, specialist mental health assessments, supporting and sharing information with the wider police community and acting in an advisory capacity for people in conjunction with mental health law. The role also involves delivering training and education to police colleague's and signposting to appropriate partner agencies.

You would be expected to carry out generic and specialist assessments, including risk and provide therapeutic interventions within the most appropriate setting in accordance with the service users and/or carers needs. Assess whether users can be managed safely within the community promoting quicker recovery. Assess Risks and collaboratively develop safety plans with users/carers. Assist in the development and implementation of integrated care pathways, including appropriate service user assessments/referrals to other services .
