Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Nurse /AHP ( with at least two years post qualification experience) who is interested in developing their Psychological skills to join our Step Forward service in Liverpool.The successful candidate will join a friendly and supportive team and will be employed as a Band 6 practitioner, and will be supported to develop their Psychological skills through supervision by trained Therapists and CPD, in order to develop to Band 7 level. In addition you will be invited to attend relevant training, CPD events and our in house CPD programme.The Step Forward service comprises a team of Clinical Psychologists, Psychological Practitioners and Assistant Psychologists who support adult service users with moderate to complex mental health difficulties (whose needs fall between primary and secondary care).
Main duties of the job
To provide high quality, evidence based care within Division for service users and their carers within inpatient and community services.
To work in a socially inclusive way and in line with the recovery model.
To function as named nurse/care coordinator to service users undertaking assessment, planning and evaluation and review of care, within a recovery focused model of care.
To participate as an active member of the multi disciplinary team.
To provide advice, expertise and leadership within the team.
To supervise care for service users presenting with complex and high risk needs.
To work autonomously, reaching clinically appropriate decisions based on information received and using the knowledge and experience of the multi disciplinary team.
