Job summary
As part of our transformation project and expansion of our services we are looking to recruit qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners across our Talking Therapies (formerly IAPT ) services.
We have full time and part time positions available across our services in Halton, Knowsley, St Helens and Liverpool, please specify which location you would prefer in your application.
The post holder will have undertaken the "Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Care" course and be qualified as a PWP and will work alongside professionals delivering Step 2 psychological interventions within a primary care setting. Interventions include Wellbeing courses held both virtually and in community settings, Silvercloud online intervention as well as 1-1.
This is an exciting time to join our team as we look to expand our services and work closely with our partners within our organisation as well as the wider communities to raise awareness of common mental health issues and the service that we offer.
Our services offer a friendly supportive environment and as a member of our team you will have protected time for CPD and clinical and managerial supervision.

Main duties of the job
The main roles will include:
- Face to face, Video and telephone work with clients with common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, at step 2.
- Work within practice teams including liaison with GPs, Practice staff, third sector agencies and service users and carers.
- Networking with the wider health and social care system.
- To work autonomously within the team and possess excellent organisational and time management skills, in order to cope with the demands of the service.
- To have undertaken the "Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Care" course and be qualified as a PWP.
- The post holder will demonstrate respect and value service users' and their carers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of an appropriately skilled and qualified person to;
1. Develop skills of collaborative working with service users (and where appropriate their carers) to build an effective partnership of care.2. To carry a caseload of clients and assist in identifying and effectively managing their emotional distress and disturbance.
3. Utilise a range of guided self-help interventions, in line with NICE guidelines.
4. Utilise a range of core skills in mental health practice in order to contribute to and co-ordinate the care and treatment of clients with mild mental health problems.
5. Implement and support a range of evidence based interventions utilising a self management model of mental health care.
6. Collaborate with service users and other people involved in their care to encourage medication compliance.
7. Help to establish systems in practices for the effective management of mental health needs of individual service users, families and communities.
8. Through supervision, systematically evaluate and record outcomes of mental health interventions, adapting care on the basis of these evaluations.
9. Participate in inter-professional approaches to care that respect and utilise the contributions of the wider health and social care team.
10. Utilise managerial and clinical supervision to ensure that care and treatment are tailored to service users, family and community needs; that learning needs are identified and acted upon to ensure personal development.
11. Practice in a non discriminatory manner, respecting the variety of beliefs and cultural practices of individuals and groups.
12. Assist in the delivery of the Mental Health Promotion Strategy for the Halton Borough at a local level.
13. To record and evaluate `outcome measures` as part of the ongoing therapy process, for a `service user`
14. To assist in the accurate entry of clinical data onto the Trusts agreed systems.
15. To ensure the highest standards of clinical record keeping, including electronic data entering and recording
