Job summary
Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist inpatient and community mental health, learning disabilities, addiction services and acquired brain injury services for the people of Liverpool, Sefton and Kirkby, Merseyside. We also provide community physical health services across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Addictions services. The successful candidate will utilise Transact-SQL (T-SQL) and the Microsoft Office suite of products to analyse complex large datasets into meaningful information for senior managers.
Any experience of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or Power BI would be beneficial but is not essential. The post holder will also have responsibility for completing national returns, internal performance reporting and ad hoc requests.

1. Create and produce reports from the Trusts Information Systems so as to provide high quality, accurate and timely information to assist decision making and support service provision within the Trust, and to enable monitoring of the Trusts performance by its staffand Commissioners.2. Support teams in the extraction and analysis of data.3. Assist in the completion and submission of aggregate statutory returns and information to support audits etc.4. Provide information on request to key stakeholders, and in line with Freedom of Information requirements.5. Provide support in ensuring that all information is of a high standard so as to accurately reflect performance and progress against standards and targets, and to highlight any dataquality issues to the Solutions and Data Architect.6. Assist the Data Modeller in the design and production of a suite of regular online performance reports, enforcing version control throughout.7. Support the Data Modeller in developing processes so as to provide assurances to the Trust Board on performance.8. Work closely with the Trusts teams and divisions, participating in quality and business meetings and ensuring that any information issues are fed back.9. Support the Solutions and Data Architect and Data Modeller in ensuring that accurate and consistent data is used for all Trust information reporting, by following agreed procedures for extraction, collation and storage of data.10. Assist in the collation and storage of information from different sources to enable monitoring of performance against targets and objectives, capacity and business planning and benchmarking against other organisations.11. Liaise with outside agencies, e.g. CCGs, TDA, CQC, Auditors etc. regarding submissions and queries.12. Act as the first line of support for queries around the interpretation of information, targets and trends within the Trusts performance reports.13. Work to tight deadlines in order to ensure that accurate information is made available to the Board, Committees, Divisional teams etc. as well as auditors and other key stakeholders.14. Assist in the production of information to support Business Planning and business development.15. Utilise performance reporting tools to identify areas of good and poor performance and to assist in the production of information statements etc. in order to support the delivery of perfect care.16. Providing data to support project work as required.17. To assist in the development of bespoke reports to enable analysis to improve practice.18. Attend Trust groups when required as representative for the Informatics and Performance Improvement directorate.19.
