Job summary
Mental Health Care Division has a number of exciting opportunities providing leadership and oversight to our clinical teams, working in partnership with service users, carers and other key stakeholders to ensure effectiveness of outcomes.
Our staff deliver specialist mental health services to people in their own homes and across a range of inpatient services.
The successful candidates will be required to provide strategic operational and clinical leadership using the most up to date and evidence-based theory and practice and offer expert clinical advice for service users, carers, staff and other professionals.
The post holders will be able to demonstrate advanced competence in highly complex decision making, assessment and the management of clinical needs within Community and Inpatient Services.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide clinical and professional leadership to the Occupational Therapy workforce and be professionally accountable for the planning and delivery of high-quality Occupational Therapy across the Division, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and efficient person-centred care.
Provide visible leadership, lead and inspire the Occupational Therapy workforce within the Division and act as role model ensuring that the Registered and Support Workforce within Occupational Therapy are empowered to participate in and influence decision making at all levels.
To lead on a number of quality and clinical governance matters and initiatives within Occupational Therapy as directed by the Head of Allied Health Professionals and support the delivery of the Trust's Clinical Strategy and Quality Account which includes the delivery of Zero Harm Perfect Care Goals in the Division.
To contribute to the development of high-quality innovative services through the Trust's professional and clinical governance frameworks, including the implementation of national guidance and lead on and promote best evidence-based practice to achieve clinical excellence and deliver service improvements in teams where there is Occupational Therapy provision
