Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time Band 7 Clinical Team Manager within the NHS Talking Therapies (formerly known as IAPT ) service.
Our service is undergoing an expansion of its workforce, and there are significant opportunities for service development.
NHS Talking Therapies Halton (formerly known as IAPT) service is for those aged over 18yrs in Halton. The service is delivered by Merseycare NHS Foundation Trust, and offers a variety of support and psychological therapies to the community of Halton. Our interventions are diverse and evidence based, ranging from guided self-help and face-to-face or video therapy, telephone support to workshop courses.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will carry continuing professional and managerial responsibility over the NHS Talking Therapies Team ( formally IAPT). They will be responsible for the setting of standards of care within the team, and for overseeing the provision of psychological assessment and therapy at Step 2 and 3 for people with common mental health problems within a stepped model of care.
Under the direction of the Operational Manager the post-holder will provide strong management and clinical leadership, participating fully in the delivery of effective talking therapies in line with National Guidelines. The role includes overseeing the assessment of complex care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes ofcare, the setting of standards and the effective management of staff.The post-holder will work in close partnership with the Service Manager, Operational Manager and wider clinical team to ensure safe, effective and efficient health services, meeting the needs of the patient population and service needs such as delivering service Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). The post-holder will deputise for the Operational Manager as and when required and liaise with the Senior Management Team to supporteffective partnership working.
