Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

• Recognised educational standard in Maths or English, and/or relevant knowledge, skills and experience

Desirable

• Microsoft Office qualification

Experience

Essential

• Prior experience of effective and collaborative team working
• Previous directly relevant work administrative work experience (e.g. in a booking contact centre or a busy clinical/medical customer care environment)

Desirable

• Booking and scheduling experience

Skills/Knowledge

Essential

• A high standard of computer literacy and experience of using Microsoft Office packages proficiently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to deal with a wide range of NHS staff/patients on the telephone and face to face using tact, empathy, and negotiating skills
• Demonstrable ability to provide an efficient and timely service, working to short timescales as required
• Able to work under minimal supervision and prioritise own workload, using initiative in planning daily tasks
• Able to understand and maintain high standards of staff and patient confidentiality at all times
