Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Elective Orthopaedic Therapy Team at Trafford Hospital, part of the AHP Division.
You'll be working within a dynamic and well-established multidisciplinary team, including a Clinical Lead, experienced Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and fellow Rehabilitation Assistants. We pride ourselves on collaborative working, ensuring a holistic and patient-centred approach to care.
In this role, you will support the assessment and management of elective orthopaedic patients at the Trafford Elective Hub, across both the Day Surgery Unit and Inpatient Orthopaedic Ward. You'll also contribute to pre-admission education groups, helping patients prepare for their procedures.
As a Band 4 team member, you'll play an active role in service development and quality improvement initiatives, while also supporting the team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
The Trust operates a 7-day service, including evening twilight shifts, and all staff are expected to participate.

Main duties of the job
Independently carry out assessments and deliver interventions for a designated caseload of patients with routine clinical needs, following established treatment pathways.
Provide support to patients with more complex needs under the supervision and guidance of a qualified therapist.
Undertake administrative tasks and assist with stock control to support the efficient running of the Allied Health Professional services.
Participate in the team'stwilight and weekend working rota, contributing to the delivery of a flexible and responsive service.
Actively contribute toservice development and quality improvement initiatives, supporting continuous improvement within the team.
