Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) as an Education and Training Practitioner. This pivotal role supports the delivery of a high-profile and ambitious Education and Training Strategy within one of the UK's leading experimental medicine centres.
The post is offered on a two-year fixed-term contract aligned to the BRC funding window. The role is offered as full-time (37.5 hours per week); however, part-time or flexible working arrangements will be considered.
Based at City Labs, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, the role will involve hybrid working across partner organisations, including the University of Manchester.
Main duties of the job
Working closely with the BRC Education and Training Lead and academic partners across Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, the wider NHS and the University of Manchester, the post holder will coordinate the delivery of education and training programmes, events and initiatives.
The role will support the development of world-class biomedical researchers and promote inclusive, cross-sector career development by coordinating training activity across a complex partnership environment.
The post holder will work autonomously to plan, deliver and evaluate training activity, ensuring alignment with BRC priorities and NIHR requirements.

- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Training in administration, project support, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrable experience of applying specialist knowledge in an education or training coordination context.
