Job summary
The post holder will be based across two sites: within the Rehabilitation Unit at St Mary's Hospital, which will include both in- and out-patient work across maternity and gynaecology and in the Physiotherapy department at North Manchester General hospital, in an out-patient setting.
Applicants are required to have previous pelvic health experience and aim to advance these skills with support. This post offers excellent facilities and support for continued professional development. The successful applicant can be assured of supervision, training and development within a supportive team, as well as opportunities to develop research ideas and attend academic and clinical meetings. It is an ideal opportunity for anyone wishing to develop their pelvic health clinical skills whilst being able to contribute to clinical effectiveness within the Trust. A flexible attitude, excellent interpersonal and team working skills are essential. The post holder will be expected to support weekend working as part of the role.The service accepts referrals from acute, primary and secondary careproviders.The successful candidate will carry an independent caseload of bothUrogynaecology and Obstetric patients and be able to support the Band 7 Physiotherapists with the planning, organisation and delivery of care within out-patients and in-patients. They will deliver a highstandard of evidence-based Physiotherapy.
Main duties of the job
Delivery of evidence-based physiotherapy management ofpatients with pelvic health presentations
Supervision of less experienced staff, example B5's and assistants
Clinical mentorship of student physiotherapists
Service development projects, such as audit and quality
improvement programmes
Participate in weekend Saturday rota as applicable
