Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Outpatient team as a Housekeeper.
You will play a key role in maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and organisation within the Outpatient Department, including supporting infection-control procedures, cleaning equipment, assisting with stock ordering, and organising supplies. There will also be opportunities to complete efficacy audits and participate in our SHINE walk-arounds.
As a Housekeeper, you will support the team by ensuring the OPD environment is clean, safe, comfortable, and well-organised to deliver high-quality patient care. The role requires cross-site working: 8 hours per week at Altrincham OPD and 8 hours per week at Withington OPD.

Main duties of the job
Main duties of the role include (but are not limited to):

Ordering required stock and working closely with the Materials Management team

Organising stock, including clinical and non-clinical items

General housekeeping duties, including cleaning, tidying, and maintaining the overall OPD environment, patient couches, and waiting areas

Overseeing the maintenance of medical devices and reporting any faults appropriately

Monitoring the condition of fixtures and fittings

Assisting with ordering and providing patient drinks to support nutritional needs

Maintaining infection-control standards within the department

Completing relevant audits

Escalating concerns through the appropriate channels
