Job summary

Working alongside medical/nursing and administrative colleagues to provide a range of admin/clerical and reception support to theatre staff/ and clinical staff in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.

Main duties of the job

To be first point of contact for the department, receive patients and visitors to the Treatment Centre. Ensuring their customer service needs are always provided for.Manage Patient Waiting lists and ensure patients are assigned/booked to the correct specialty. To provide a range of administrative and clerical duties to the theatre staff, including filing, data entry and excel spreadsheets.

Essential

  • Minimum Level C GSCE English or equivalent. to include Maths and English
  • Good standard of general education.

Desirable

  • RSA Level 2 or NVQ Level or equivalent.
  • ECDL or equivalent

Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience of working with office systems and procedures.
  • Experience of working within a team and independently
  • Good level of written and spoken English
  • Accuracy of typing
  • Ability to present information in a clear and logical manner - both written and verbal.
