Job summary
The post holder will be a key member of a Clinical Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CAMHS CSU. The post holder will be leading innovation and specific projects, as well as creating frameworks for the enhancing of CAMHS/Youth Justice Practitioners. Whilst the primary focus of the post will be the clinical leadership of the team, the postholder will be encouraged to foster Greater Manchester links in the overall interests of furthering knowledge and best practice. The role will promote excellence in clinical practice, and communicate this to healthcare professionals, both within and externally to the Trust. The postholder will have advanced clinical skills and be expected to spend an agreed amount of their time in clinical practice.
This post is required to provide information and monitoring reports to commissioners and the CAMHS CSU.
The post holder will have links to the relevant University for education at pre and post registration, and graduate education of nurses and other disciplines. The post holder will also be required to liaise and collaborate with colleagues of all disciplines involved in health services, both within the health family and other agencies. There is an expectation that an agreed amount of time will be dedicated to training and development.
Main duties of the job
Staff Management and Leadership
To effectively manage staff in terms of annual leave, performance, disciplinary and other HR processes in accordance with Trust policy.
Lead, motivate and develop staff within area of responsibility.
Ensure that all CAMHS staff with-in the YJS are regularly appraised and have a personal development plan which meets the trust requirements.
Promote a culture within which staff feel empowered and accountable for service improvement at local level.
To provide leadership and ensure services are integrated and responsive to service needs.
To be responsible for the management of the team and to ensure that the practice meets relevant standards, is of high quality and is timely and safe.
Ensure all staff within the team are clear about expectations and are working together successfully to achieve the service and wider trust vision and values.
To ensure line management arrangements are clearly described and that all staff receive appropriate professional and managerial supervision.
To performance manage and develop a team of professional staff, including job planning and caseload management utilizing regular managerial supervision.
Work with the Administration Managers in CAMHS, ensuring all administration processes are in place, followed and effective.
To monitor, collect and ensure compliance plan/schedule in place for all core locality workforce
