Job summary

To be operationally responsible for providing the administration of a customer-focused service in a professional and timely manner while adhering to National and Trust policies and targets relating to Access to Health requests.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for ensuring all requests for individual Rights to Access under Data Protection legislation or Access to health Records are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner within the set timescales to meet national KPI targets. This is applicable, whatever media type the rest has been received in.

Essential

  • Educated to NVQ Level 3 level or equivalent Educated to NVQ Level 3 level or equivalent in an IT related subject
  • Evidence of Personal Development

Experience/Knowledge

Essential

  • Experience of working in an office administration role
  • Experience of dealing with requests from customers (internal and or external to an organisation) via email, telephone, and face to face.
  • Knowledge of Information Governance and Health Records concepts; knowledge of SAR
  • Experience of using administration systems (e.g. spreadsheets or databases) and following procedures to meet legislative requirements.

Desirable

  • Experience in NHS office environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft products including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience of working in a team dealing with IG, FOI and or SAR requests
