Job summary

The Finance department at Wythenshawe Hospital are looking for enthusiastic candidates to join the team in two new Finance Apprentice roles.

Working as part of the WTWA Finance Department we will offer the opportunity to work towards the AAT Level 2 or AAT Level 3 in collaboration with an approved training partner. As a Finance Apprentice you will be able to gain valuable experience of NHS Finance through working as part of the supportive Finance Department at WTWA.

We are offering the Finance Apprentice role for an initial period of 18 months but following the achievement of objectives set through the year the apprentice will be able to gain confidence and experience that will enable them to advance in a career in finance.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the WTWA Financial Management team in supporting the Clinical divisions at WTWA. This includes supporting the Deputy Finance Business Partner in the production of annual and monthly budget reports that will support budget holders with the delivery of excellent health care services.

The apprentice will be supported to learn and get involved in finance activities including:

Preparation of accounting journals to correctly reflect the financial position

Learn how to produce and present financial information

Work with budget holders to support them with decision making
