Please also see job description. The post is based at Wythenshawe Hospital. Wythenshawe Hospital provides tertiary cardiac services to the South Manchester and North Cheshire area and is supported by on-site cardiothoracic surgery and an active cardiac transplant unit. The Cardiology department has five cardiac catheter laboratories.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have the opportunity to fulfil an operator role in the EP service in the Cath Labs and a EP troubleshooting role in outpatients commensurate with the level of the post holder's experience. There will be a commitment to at least one regular clinic per week. There will also be a specific responsibility for updating and maintaining clinical data in the EP database as well as auditing the same data.
There is an expectation that the postholder will make a significant contribution to the research and audit programme and quality improvement programmes in the department and also to the department's educational programme .
There is an expectation that the post-holder will contribute to the middle-grade on-call rota.
