Ward Clerk - Maternity Services

We work alongside the Midwives, Junior Doctors and Consultants to ensure our women receive the best care possible and we are looking for you to bring a positive approach to our team environment.

Successful candidates must have excellent IT skills and experience working in a customer service or healthcare environment. You should demonstrate high levels of personal commitment to facilitate the delivery of a patient focused service.

Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. A friendly and conscientious outlook is also required as is the ability to liaise with all levels of staff and patients

Current available shifts *potential to change*

Early 07:30-15:30

Late 13:30- 21:30

Night 21:15-07:45

Shifts are across 7 days and a combination of early, late and night shifts to meet the needs of the service.

You will receive Night/Saturday/Sunday enhancements if you are rostered to work on these days.Your shift preferences i.e. day or night shifts will be discussed at interview, and your preferences will be considered.

These positions will be based at St Mary's Hospital on our Oxford Road Campus.

Main duties of the job

This role supports the Antenatal and Postnatal ward reception desks at St Mary's Hospital. The post holder is required to work a range of shifts and being the single point contact to meet and greet patients and visitors. They will be required to provide excellent customer service and support to our patients and visitors, as well as the medical teams within the department.
