Outpatient Clerk - Contact Centre

Job summary

We are looking to recruit a contact center call handler to work in the Main Outpatients Contact Centre of this busy teaching hospital.

This post will be located at Wythenshawe (International House).

The successful candidates will join a well established, friendly team, committed to providing a quality service to our patients. Previous clerical experience in a hospital environment would be an advantage but is not essential, as training will be given.

Main duties of the job

  • Handle inbound calls from patients, providing clear information, support, and guidance.

  • Liaise professionally with medical secretaries to coordinate patient care and administrative tasks.

  • Collaborate with the Waiting List Manager to support efficient scheduling.

  • Manage inbound enquiries from GP surgeries, ensuring accurate communication and timely resolution.
